As owner and lead stager for Pearl Street Home Staging, Jennifer Walker has a wealth of experience when it comes to knowing what consumers want. She has been a magazine editor and freelance writer in Toronto for some of Canada’s best-selling publications (Canadian Living, Zoomer, Best Health, Chatelaine, Today’s Parent). Knowing her audience was a key part of her role in helping to create content that inspires, excites and informs. Jennifer’s time on set at magazine photo shoots gives her a unique talent as a home stager where photography is a key element to exceptional listings. She has helped develop concepts for photos shoots for everything from home decor to recipes to gift ideas.
As a Canadian Certified Staging Professional (CCSP), Jennifer brings creativity and a passion for home decor. Her love of fine furnishings developed, when as a young girl, her mother owned an antique store on Pearl Street in Burlington, Ontario (hence her company name). Her need to organize and rearrange comes from her father, who was constantly moving around the furniture of their house looking for the perfect configuration. Both of her parents had great success in buying “fixer uppers” in the best areas of town and then renovating them to sell for top dollar. This translated into the perfect breeding ground for a future home stager.
Today, as a working mom of three boys, Jennifer knows that time is valuable. Her goal is to help sellers and realtors in Toronto and the GTA get homes ready for the market with as little stress as possible.
